About Us

Pi Tau Sigma is an international honor society of top Juniors and Seniors in Mechanical Engineering. There are over 160 chapters from universities across North America.

Pi Tau Sigma was co-founded by the University of Wisconsin and University of Illinois with four basic goals: to foster high ideals in the engineering profession, to stimulate and support departmental activities, to promote professional welfare, and to develop leadership and citizenship.

Our chapter maintains active membership of about fifty and strives to achieve these goals through its activities, within the College of Engineering and in the community at large.
